On June 5, 2018, the Princess Máxima Center in Utrecht, the new national center specializing in pediatric oncology, opened its doors. The Princess Máxima Center was built across the street from UMC Utrecht's Wilhelmina Children's Hospital. The original idea of the center was to use the UMC's pharmacy facilities. In mid-2017, however, it was decided to create its own pharmacy, in which case our help was enlisted.
The floors were leveled by ICM in December as the go-ahead and were then finished room by room with Gerflor Mipolam floor systems, including hollow skirting finishes and 3D corners. The biggest challenge within this project was the short and congested schedule, where we were scheduled at the same time as the wall/ceiling builders. Problems? They don't exist for us, because good communication works wonders!
